IPSWICH City Pistol Club

We shoot a number of different competitions each month. Some competitions are rolling ones, meaning you can shoot them when you have available time, and some are held once per month on a chosen night. Our competitions are broken up into Centre Fire and Rim Fire competitions. Ipswich City Pistol Club caters for all Category H shooters - classes A, B, C & D.

Remember, every pistol owner must participate in at least six pistol shooting competitions conducted on different days, during each financial year of the club membership. More will be required if you have firearms across different Classes.

This competition is shot over three stages at different distances testing participations with varying timings. The position for all stages is standing, unsupported, freestyle.

Stage 1:
3 * 2 shots in 4 seconds @ 7 metres
2 * 3 shots in 6 seconds @ 7 metres
2 * 3 shots in 4 seconds @ 7 metres

Stage 2:
1 * 6 shots in 8 seconds @ 10 metres
1 * reload in 8 seconds
1 * 6 shots in 10 seconds @ 10 metres
1 * reload in 8 seconds
1 * 6 shots in 6 seconds @ 10 metres

Stage 3:
1 * 6 shots in 8 seconds @ 15 metres
1 * reload in 8 seconds
1 * 6 shots in 10 seconds @ 15 metres
1 * reload in 8 seconds
1 * 6 shots in 6 seconds @ 15 metres

6 shots in 20 seconds @ 10 metres in a standing unsupported position, strong hand.
6 shots in 20 seconds @ 10 metres in a kneeling unsupported position, freestyle.

Stage 3:
6 shots in 30 seconds @ 20 metres in a standing unsupported position, freestyle.
6 shots in 30 seconds @ 20 metres in a sitting unsupported position, freestyle.
